Greetings,
Last year you signed up on the Waiting List to join Henry’s CSA for 2012. I am contacting you now to invite you to join the CSA.
For the price of $400, you will get 26 weeks (May 29th-November 20th) of fresh, local, organic and delicious produce from my fields, plus our homemade recipe booklet with fast, easy and delicious recipes for every vegetables we grow. Each Tuesday morning, we pick 6-8 different vegetables—whatever is in season and available that week—and you pick up those vegetables that very evening at our pick-up locations in Bloomington/Normal, Eureka, Peoria and Morton. (To find out pick up times and locations, click on the link above and scroll down the page to “Pick-Up Locations for 2012.”)
To get an idea of what your vegetables will be in your share at different times of year, go to the website and click on the heading “Henry’s CSA: Get to Know Your Share” under “Archives” in the “Food and Farm Notes” box in the upper right hand corner of the page. You’ll receive this Food and Farm Notes e-newsletter every week of the season to let you know what is in your share, give you some recipe ideas and let you know what is going on at the farm.
So, please go and check out the website. Please read the FAQ Guide on the CSA page, in particular, as I think it covers just about every question that I am usually asked. Then if you decide you would like to join, please email me back and I will give instructions on how to proceed. If you decide you don’t want to join, please notify me so I can go to the next person on the waiting list. Please get back to me either way within one week from today.
If paying out $400 right now just doesn’t fit into your budget, I totally understand. I would much prefer getting just one check because it keeps my book-keeping time at a minimum (especially important once the growing season begins), but if that won’t work for you, you can pay on an installment plan. I have just two requirements:
1. That you send me a $100 payment with your sign up form to hold your spot.
2. That you are completely paid up by the first produce pick up (May 29th).
You can pay the remaining $300 in as many installments as you want. However, please write out your payment schedule on your sign up form so I know when to expect your checks. I will send you a confirmation email after receiving each check.
Hope to hear from you,
Henry Brockman
