I'm running to Peoria this afternoon to pick up the 2010 Land Connection "A Year on The Land" calendars -- Hot Off The Press!

You can buy yours tomorrow at the Evanston Market -- from Teresa (at Teresa's Fruit & Herb stand) or from Joel (selling vegetables from the "pit" near the center of Henry's stand). They'll also have a few copies open for you to leaf through.

You'll see that this is not only a calendar with gorgeous images of fresh local fruits and vegetables (8 of the 12 photos are from Henry's Farm this year, some taken by me, and others by the talented Michael Roberts), but it also has annotations to keep up you up to date with what's happening on the farm all year long.  Today for example, farmers are "harvesting for market" and over the coming days they'll be "finishing up sowing cover crops" (if it's not too muddy), "digging the last potatoes" (ditto), and starting to "bring equipment into the shed for the winter."

So bring along an extra $20 -- cash or check -- and thank you!
