of the season from Henry's farm are on their way! -

We are a family farm in Central Illinois, in the rolling hills and fertile bottom land of the Mackinaw River Valley. Although currently not USDA Certified Organic, we still use the same sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices, which you can read about in Henry's book, Organic Matters .

Our specialty is variety, with over 630 different items in our 2008 seed order.  We provide fresh, delicious produce to families in the Bloomington-Peoria area with our CSA , and to families in the Chicago area with our stand at the Evanston Farmers Market.

Newsflash

In the news...

Henry just received word that he is part of a successful proposal to the USDA Organic Agriculture Research and Extension Initiative (OREI).  The funded project will help make summer cover crops a standard practice on vegetable farms in the Great Lakes Region. Henry and the other Project Directors will conduct coordinated on-farm research using mustard, buckwheat and sudangrass. Stay tuned as the project continues...
